The fragrance brings the incredible complexity of this raw material back to life by drawing an olfactory loop around its spicy, woody and milky facets that make it a cult ingredient in modern perfumery and ancient Eastern rituals. The fragrance opens with ambrette seed absolute and carrot seed oil for hints of earth and spice, and unfolds into a deep sandalwood accord: amyris oil, a powerful woody note, blends with cedarwood. Myrrh and copahu balsam oil provide warmth and a balsamic aspect, a malted milk vapor that enlivens the senses like incense.
