This hard wood with its strong smell originates from the oriental borders of India. Burnt on the embers of incense burners, it perfumes palaces and fabrics; distilled, it releases a golden and powerful essence. As it matures, it becomes dark and viscous, like a liqueur. This dark oil exerts a real fascination and its rare qualities are more valuable than gold in the eyes of connoisseurs.
