The moon plays an important role in the rhythm of life in the Middle East, its ethereal appearance heralding the beginning and end of all celebrations. In Arabic, the invocation of the moon is an allusion to romance - "my moon"; an admirable and grandiose term for a loved one, a sign of beauty and eternal fidelity.

The warm and opulent qualities of rose, oud and frankincense meet a surprising abundance of ripe red berries. A subtle reference to the fruit-flavoured shishas enjoyed throughout the region. The abundance of red currants and raspberries add sweetness and colour.
